Somerset Council has submitted the B3191 at Cleeve Hill as their highest priority road to the Government's new Structures Fund. This is a direct result of our campaign. Now we need the Government to say yes. Add your name to our letter to the Secretary of State for Transport.

Dear Secretary of State,

We are writing to urge you to approve Somerset Council's bid to the Structures Fund for the B3191 at Cleeve Hill, Watchet.

The road has been closed since 2023 following cliff erosion, cutting off residents, businesses, and emergency services across West Somerset. Over a thousand people objected to the permanent closure. Somerset Council has now named it their single highest priority unaffordable road scheme, costed at £40 million, and submitted a bid to your Department.

This is exactly what the Structures Fund was designed for. Please approve it.

Kind regards

James Wright on behalf of residents of West Somerset
